How to prepare for a newborn photoshoot

A little preparation makes a calm session — here is everything you need, and do not need, to bring.

Book while you are still pregnant

The best newborn photos come from the first 5 to 14 days, and you cannot know your date, so reserve a flexible window in your second or third trimester. You message us when baby arrives and we lock the day.

What to bring

Almost nothing — wraps, bonnets, headbands, baskets and backdrops are all included and sanitised. Bring extra nappies, a change of clothes for yourself just in case, and anything sentimental you would like in a frame.

Feeding and timing

Feed your baby fully just before or at the start of the session. A full, sleepy baby settles into poses easily. We work around feeds and never rush — a session takes two to three hours for exactly this reason.

Keeping baby settled

We keep the room warm (26 to 28 degrees), use white noise and move at your baby’s pace. If baby will not settle, we stop, you feed, and we start again. No session has ever been abandoned for this.

At home or in the studio

For a newborn you do not need to travel — we bring the full setup to your home anywhere in Dubai, so baby stays warm in their own space. The studio is equally available if you prefer.
