The set goes up in November and comes down before New Year. That is the whole window.
When to book
The set is built in early November and taken down at the end of December. Weekends fill first. Families who wait until mid‑December are usually booking for the following year instead. If you want cards printed and posted before the holidays, shoot in the first week of December.
What the set looks like
A decorated tree, a fireplace, warm string lights and a rug the children can sit on. It is a proper studio set, not a mall backdrop — the light is controlled, the background is clean, and nobody is queuing behind you.
What to wear
Cream, camel, deep green, burgundy. Avoid logos and bright synthetic reds — they throw colour onto skin and it shows in every frame. We plan the wardrobe with you before the day, and the studio wardrobe is available if you would rather not buy anything.
It does not have to be Christmas
Many families book this set for a winter portrait or a New Year card with no religious framing at all. Same tree, same light, different message — tell us which one you want and we shoot it that way.
