Book for day 5 to 12
This is the single most useful thing we can tell you. Between day five and day twelve a baby still curls into the shapes they held in the womb, still sleeps deeply through being moved, and still has that folded, impossibly small posture. By week three that is gone. It does not come back. Most parents who write to us regretful are writing in week four.
Reserve while you are pregnant
You cannot know your date, so we do not ask for one. Book in your second or third trimester and we hold a flexible window around your due date. You message us when the baby arrives and we lock the day.
Safety is not a feature, it is the job
Every composite pose — the ones where a baby appears to hold their own head — is two frames, an assistant’s hands, and a retouch. A baby is never left unsupported. The room is kept at 26–28°C, we work with white noise, and we move at the baby’s pace. A session takes two to three hours because most of it is feeding, settling and waiting.
Your home or the studio
At home, you do not put a nine-day-old in a car. We bring the beanbag, the wraps, the lighting and the props to your living room. In studio, you get the full fine-art setup — the layered backdrops, the sculpted light and the prop collection built over ten years. Both produce the images on this page.
Siblings and twins
Older siblings are welcome and usually give you the frame you did not plan for. Twins are a specialty here — the heart bowl and paired wrap setups in this gallery are ours.
